How do we make jewelry from Mala shungite beads?

• In order to make a mala, we use a strong jewelry cable as a thread. This jewelry cable does not have the ability to stretch; it is rigid and very dense. We do not use elastic for this product.
• Next, we string 8 mm natural shungite stone beads and black glass beads onto this cable. For the Guru bead, we took the largest shungite bead measuring 16 millimeters. This decoration can be worn on the neck or on the arm.
• This decoration measures approximately 47.5 centimeters (18.7 in) in finished length to the tips. Also, the length of a necklace made of eight-millimeter beads will be approximately 42 cm (16.5 in) up to the Guru bead. As a result, the entire length of the necklace will be 47.5 * 2 = 95 centimeters (37.5 in)  if it were unfolded.

Please note that since this is a mala, it is one piece and does not open up like bead necklace, for example. However, if you are interested in such a product, but would like us to make it with rings, like beads, then please write to us.

The weight of the necklace is approximately 67 grams (2.36 Oz /0,15 lb). However, due to the fact that the beads may have slightly different sizes and weights, the weight and size may vary slightly.

How to check that a Mala shungite necklace is real?

Genuine Russian stone is known for its unique conductivity. You can also conduct a simple test for the electrical conductivity of shungite mala beads. However, our jewelry does not need this, they are real and conduct current.
Also, over time, the shine of mala beads will fade, since these beads are natural and have the corresponding properties of this Karelian mineral.
